SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

INITIATIVES IN SAI INFOSYSTEM (INDIA) LTD.(SIS)
We are committed to provide quality products by adopting socially accountable business practices and ethics that promote:

We are committed to meet all requirements of the SA 8000 Standard and shall strive for continual improvements, leading to better quality of life of our employees.

We are aware that Social Accountability SA 8000 sets basic standard for . . . . .
  • Child Labour.
  • Forced Labour.
  • Health & Safety.
  • Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining.
  • Discrimination.
  • Disciplinary practices.
  • Working hours.
  • Compensation.
We are introducing a Social Management System (SMS) in our organization to ensure compliance and continual improvement in delivering the above said aspects.
Sr. No. Aspect Requirement of aspect Compliance in our organization
1 Child Labour. No employees are less than 15 years of age. No employees are less than 18 years of age.
2 Forced Labour. No forced or compulsory labour under any conditions (i.e. bonded, forced and prison labour). SIS Does not engage or support the use of forced and compulsory labor. Terms & conditions of employment are communicated prior to recruitment.
3 Health & Safety.
  • Provide a safe & healthy working environment.
  • Take adequate steps to prevent accidents & injury to health.
  • Minimizing causes of hazards inherent in the working environment.
  • A representative responsible for all health & safety activities.
SIS is already ISO 14001 Certified and has taken initiatives to ensure safe & healthy working method to protect the environment as well as labours and employees.
4 Discrimination. To provide equal treatment to all employees in all the matters like employment, training, promotion & capability regardless of race, caste, national origin, disability, gender, sexual orientation, union membership etc. SIS is not engaging in or support any discrimination in hiring, compensation, access to training, promotion, termination based on race, caste, national origin, religion, disability etc.
5 Disciplinary practices.

  • Corporal punishment.
  • Mental or physical coercion.
  • Verbal abuse.
SIS does not engage in or support the use of corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion & verbal abuse to any employee.
6 Management System To declare company Policy for Social Accountability & Labour Conditions. SIS introduced its own Corporate Policy for Social Accountability. The social objectives are to involve all interested parties like contractors, suppliers and own employees and make them aware about Social Management System, its implementation and continual improvement.
This policy shall be made available to all personnel of the company and on request to interested parties. This policy is also openly available at any time through our website www.saicare.com
